How to perform it
- 01 Stand tall holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides, arms straight and shoulders relaxed.
- 02 Brace your core, keep your chest up, and look straight ahead.
- 03 Step forward with one leg into a long stride.
- 04 Lower your back knee toward the floor until both knees are bent about 90 degrees.
- 05 Keep your front knee stacked over your ankle and your back heel lifted.
- 06 Push through your front heel to stand up and bring your back leg forward.
- 07 Step into the next lunge with the opposite leg, continuing to walk forward.
- 08 Keep your torso upright, your steps controlled, and your feet hip-width apart for balance.
- 09 Avoid letting your front knee cave inward or your back foot swing too far out.
- 10 Repeat for the desired number of steps, then switch sides if needed.
