How to perform it

  1. 01 Stand tall holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides, arms straight and shoulders relaxed.
  2. 02 Brace your core, keep your chest up, and look straight ahead.
  3. 03 Step forward with one leg into a long stride.
  4. 04 Lower your back knee toward the floor until both knees are bent about 90 degrees.
  5. 05 Keep your front knee stacked over your ankle and your back heel lifted.
  6. 06 Push through your front heel to stand up and bring your back leg forward.
  7. 07 Step into the next lunge with the opposite leg, continuing to walk forward.
  8. 08 Keep your torso upright, your steps controlled, and your feet hip-width apart for balance.
  9. 09 Avoid letting your front knee cave inward or your back foot swing too far out.
  10. 10 Repeat for the desired number of steps, then switch sides if needed.
