How to perform it
- 01 Stand with your feet hip-width apart and the bar over your midfoot.
- 02 Hinge at the hips and push your hips back until your torso is around 45 degrees to the floor, knees softly bent.
- 03 Grip the bar just outside your knees with your arms straight and your back flat.
- 04 Brace your core, then pull the bar to your lower ribs by driving your elbows back and squeezing your shoulder blades together.
- 05 Lower under control until your arms are straight again.
- 06 Keep your torso angle fixed — do not stand up as you pull or round your lower back.
